DR RICHARD SWANSON DDS
Over 50 years ago the Patriarch of Swanson Dental Associates, Dr. Richard Swanson, opened the second dental practice in the city of Bellevue. During his time in private practice Dr. Swanson was appointed by the Washington State Governor, Dixie Lee Ray, as Dental Examiner. He was on the faculty of the University of Washington - School of Dentistry. Dr. Swanson was actively involved in dental politics as an advocate for dental health. He was appointed as Chief Dental Claims Examiner for Regence Blue Shield of Washington and most importantly cared for thousands of Bellevue smiles, continuing that care to two and three generations of patients.
Dr. Swanson is now semi-retired and enjoys time with his wonderful wife, Joan and frequent visits from his 5 children and 12 grandchildren – life is never boring! He is actively involved in another passion, his barbershop quartet, competing in local, state, national and international competitions.
